We have arrived in Cambodia! Life has been busy ever since we got here. We immediately started looking for a home, finding furnishing, and getting prepped for our new jobs. So far we couldn’t be happier about being here. Everyone from our organization is SO NICE and HELPFUL. It has definitely been a blessing having everyone’s help as we get settled!

A fun adventure was going to to buy furniture for our house. We ended up furnishing our house in wicker because it’s the cheapest we could find. If you ever wondered what a wicker museum would look like, stop by our house. ;) Once we bought the furniture, we got back in our tuk tuk and watch the furniture be moved by a moto pulling a trailer. I am amazed daily at what motos can do!

Today we leave the beautiful country of Spain. Our year living here has been one of the best experiences ever. Our life has been full of friends, travel, and adventures. We couldn’t have asked for more for our year in Spain. We have nothing but amazing feelings towards this country and our life here. We are so sad to leave, but God’s plan is better than ours. As we head for a very different life in Cambodia, we can’t wait to see what God has in store. It’s hard to move away from a place we have been so happy living in, but our hearts are ready for Cambodia. We know that we will have a great life there as well because God always takes care of us. It doesn’t matter where we are on this huge planet, God always fills our life with such great joy. Our prayers now are that God can use us in a BIG way in Cambodia. Ever since we visited Cambodia for the first time, we have felt drawn towards the country and its people, and we cannot wait to get there and share life with them.

The Days came to visit and it was the most fun ever! We were so pumped for our friends to come to Spain. Our trip can be summarized by lots of games, food, silliness, and LAUGHTER. Oh and, LOTS of photos. Katie is an amazing photographer. I stole every single one of these pictures from here and I am proud of it (except for the grainy clue hunter one). These pictures will probably be some of the coolest on this blog. I have never seen someone with such a talent for seeing perfect shots and making them even more perfect. I am not super comfortable in front of a camera, yet she totally made me comfortable. It was amazing.

While they were here, we visited some surrounding areas and then went to Valencia for a weekend. Valencia was our least favorite city in Spain. It just felt different than the rest of Spain, in a way we didn’t care for, but it was still a blast with them. We stumbled upon a place called Clue Hunter which was basically a real life version of clue. We were immediately sold, although in the back of our minds, we figured it may be a ploy to kill us all. We went and it was the most fun thing ever! It was an intense hour of solving a mystery on a ‘train’. SO MUCH FUN. I want to do it one thousand more times.

We had a blast while they were here. Now just to convince them to move themselves and their three children abroad with us. Happily ever after.

Oh man, Sevilla has my heart. During the trip with my parents we got to explore all over this city and it was wonderful. We LOVED the feel of Sevilla. It was so inviting and just beautiful. We were fortunate enough to go during their fair, which was super fun. They had a huge area all lit up in lights. One portion was all small tents side by side that seemed to go on forever. The tents were filled with live music and people dancing flamenco. The other side of the fair was similar to an American fair with rides and fair food. We also got to watch flamenco while we were there. The show was fantastic. I wish I could dance flamenco…I just don’t think I am intense enough. Maybe someday. :)

After Sevilla, we headed to Cordoba.

My parents came to Spain and I couldn’t have been more excited. It was so amazing to spend time with them and explore together. I don’t think there was one minute that I wasn’t smiling from ear to ear.

While they were here, we took a road trip down to the south of Spain. Our first stop was Tarifa where we stayed the night. Then we woke up and visited the rock of Gibraltar, had some time on a beach in Tarifa, and finally went to Cadiz. It was so beautiful in the south.

Our next stop was Sevilla.

Cheap beer, delicious food, and a perfect city to relax in…Prague. Every street we walked down in Prague was beautiful, the architecture of the churches is different and really cool, and the food, OH the food was delicious. Gravy, meat, and bread, what more could you want?

Our days in Prague were relaxing and very fun. Prague is definitely a city I could visit again.
